You'll work in close, regular contact with 8Fleet's founders and executive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Regional Leadership & Market Launches: Own the launch playbook for new markets across the North region, from pre-launch planning through steady-state operations. Serve as the primary point of contact between the region and executive leadership.
- Fleet Growth & Management: Own all financial and operational metrics across regional markets to ensure revenue and profit maximization. Oversee regional fleet operations including driver scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring through the Market Manager team. Ensure vehicle maintenance and repair programs support optimal fleet utilization and safety. Partner with the Growth team to develop regional strategies for driver recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
- Financial Performance: Analyze regional and market-level data to identify improvement areas in profitability and operational efficiency. Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize fleet profitability. Set, monitor, and report on regional KPIs; hold Market Managers accountable to local targets.
- Team Development & Culture: Build and scale the Market Manager function through hiring, onboarding, and training. Foster a positive, high-performance culture across all regional markets. Establish best practices for driver support, training, and customer service standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards across every market. Oversee regular safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Ideal candidates have 6+ years of operations management or business consulting experience managing multi-site or multi-market operations, and 4+ years managing managers with a track record of hiring and developing strong operators. Prior experience at Uber, Lyft, or comparable rideshare/mobility platforms is a strong plus. You should be goal-focused with a bias toward action, entrepreneurial, data-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity. Strong communication skills, excellent organization, and willingness to travel across region markets are essential. MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
