The Regional Diagnostic Director (RDD) is a field-based remote leadership role responsible for managing a team of Diagnostic Specialists across assigned U.S. therapeutic areas and providing diagnostic expertise aligned with global strategy. Key responsibilities include: leading and managing Diagnostic Specialists in genetic testing and genotyping education to healthcare providers; training and supporting the DS team on educational initiatives; designing compensation structures and helping teams meet individual and team goals; partnering cross-functionally with client organizations on diagnostic programs; contributing to U.S. diagnostic strategy development; identifying and engaging Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in genetic testing education; providing direct field training and oversight; attending conferences to stay current on diagnostic programs; educating HCPs and internal partner labs on sponsored testing utilization; and demonstrating commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a people leader, the RDD oversees their department, determines job objectives and performance standards, conducts performance reviews, and manages personnel actions including salary changes, promotions, transfers, and discipline. The role requires extensive travel via car, plane, and train to major airport hubs. Candidates should be comfortable with modern electronic tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar AI platforms. Minimum qualifications: BA/BS required (healthcare degree strongly preferred: MS, RN, PA, PharmD, PhD); 10+ years pharma/biotech experience in sales, clinical/medical, or diagnostics; proven success leading high-performing diverse teams; experience collaborating with KOLs, labs, and stakeholders; strong diagnostic and scientific acumen; strategic thinking and operational capability; excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to thrive in matrixed environments; and strong ethical standards. Prior experience in rare or ultra-rare diseases with patient focus is preferred.
