Mercor is an AI data company on a mission to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. Deeptune, an RL environments lab within Mercor, builds high-fidelity simulations where AI agents learn to perform real-world tasks. This role is the operational core of how Deeptune hires. You will own end-to-end recruiting operations: interview execution, candidate scheduling, Ashby ATS management, pipeline integrity, candidate experience, and onsite event coordination. You'll report to the Head of Talent and partner directly with hiring managers across engineering and operations. Key responsibilities include running candidate interview loops (screens, take-homes, virtual and in-person), managing complex scheduling across candidates and interviewers, and treating interviewer capacity as a metric you own. You'll maintain candidate data integrity in Ashby—stages, tags, scorecards, written rationale—and build automated exception reports that surface missing feedback and stalled candidates before manual discovery. You'll transform pipeline data into actionable reporting for hiring managers, tracking metrics like time-to-schedule, funnel conversion, and offer outcomes. On the candidate experience side, you'll be the memorable touchpoint at every stage: clear, fast, and human. You'll automate prep work (interviewer packets, candidate prep, follow-ups) while preserving warmth. You'll own post-offer coordination and the handoff into onboarding. You'll also run Superdays, candidate dinners, and networking events end-to-end—logistics, travel, communications, and day-of execution. Over your first year, the role grows into building leverage: identifying and removing repetitive work through automations, LLM workflows, and Ashby's API; codifying best recruiter practices into prompts, templates, and workflows; and potentially leading a project to correlate interview scores with on-the-job performance—a question the company can't yet answer. This is a New York role, in-office five days a week in the Financial District. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion, hiring fast with broad scope and significant growth potential.
