Deeptune builds training environments for AI agents using reinforcement learning, working with leading AI labs on frontier models. The company recently raised a $43M Series A from Andreessen Horowitz and is being acquired by Mercor, with the team expanding in New York. As Recruiting Operations Specialist, you will own the operational core of Deeptune's hiring function, reporting to the Head of Talent. Your responsibilities span interview execution, ATS management, candidate experience, and onsite logistics. Interview Execution: You'll manage the full candidate interview experience—screens, take-homes, virtual loops, and full-day onsites—across engineering and operations teams. You'll handle complex scheduling across candidates, interviewers, and hiring managers, treating interviewer capacity as a metric you own. You'll track load, flag saturation before it impacts pipelines, and help scale the interviewer pool as volume grows. Ashby & Pipeline Integrity: You'll own candidate data quality in Ashby, ensuring stages, tags, scorecards, and written rationale are trustworthy for decision-making. You'll build automated exception reports that surface missing feedback, stalled candidates, and inconsistent data. You'll create pipeline reporting that hiring managers actually use—time-to-schedule, funnel conversion, interviewer load, and offer outcomes. Candidate Experience: You'll be the memorable touchpoint at every stage—clear, fast, and human. You'll automate prep work (interviewer packets, candidate prep, follow-ups) while preserving warmth. You'll own post-offer coordination and onboarding handoffs. Onsites & Events: You'll run Superdays, candidate dinners, and networking events end-to-end, handling logistics, travel, communications, and day-of execution. Building Leverage: Over your first year, you'll identify and eliminate repetitive work through automations, LLM workflows, and ATS APIs. You'll codify best recruiter practices into prompts, templates, and workflows. You'll lead analysis tying interview scores to on-the-job performance—a currently unanswered question. This role is positioned to grow into program ownership, designing hiring processes and owning technical talent systems. The team is small and hiring fast, creating broad scope and significant growth potential.
