As Recruiting Manager for Japan, you will lead all recruiting efforts across the country, supporting technical and non-technical hiring including Engineering, Product Management, Sales, G&A, and leadership roles. You will build and develop a high-performing recruiting team while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Your responsibilities include partnering with senior leaders to translate business priorities into scalable hiring strategies, serving as a trusted advisor on the Japan talent market with insights on competitive landscape and compensation trends, and developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract exceptional talent.
You will personally recruit and close senior and business-critical hires when needed, continuously improve recruiting operations and candidate experience, and partner cross-functionally with People, Compensation, Immigration, and Recruiting Operations teams. You'll use recruiting data and market insights to influence hiring priorities, capacity planning, and long-term workforce strategy.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of recruiting experience with proven success leading recruiting teams in Japan. You need deep understanding of the Japan talent market, experience hiring across technical and business functions in high-growth tech companies, and a track record of building engineering and enterprise sales organizations. Strong people leadership skills, experience partnering with executives on organizational growth, excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities, and passion for candidate and hiring manager experience are essential. Native fluency in Japanese and strong English communication are required, along with the ability to influence and build trust across global and local stakeholders.
