1X is building humanoid robots designed to work in homes, handling chores and tasks to give people their time back. The company has been operating since 2014 and is now shipping NEO, its flagship home robot. This role is part of the Talent team that recruits engineers, AI specialists, manufacturing experts, and supporting staff.
As one of two Lead Recruiting Coordinators, you will own end-to-end recruiting operations for half of the hiring organization. You are responsible for interview scheduling, candidate communication, data integrity in Ashby (the ATS), and leading a coordination team. This is a critical operational role—hiring speed is on 1X's critical path, and this position directly impacts how fast the company can scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end interview scheduling for executive and high-volume roles, managing complex multi-participant schedules without errors and resolving last-minute conflicts quickly.
- Deliver high satisfaction scores from candidates and hiring managers through transparent, timely communication.
- Identify bottlenecks in the hiring workflow and implement automation to reduce time-to-schedule and time-to-feedback.
- Optimize and iterate the coordination team's playbooks and training guides to ensure consistency and fast ramp for new hires.
- Serve as the escalation point for daily operational issues, setting the bar for quality and speed across the team.
- Maintain Ashby as the single source of truth for all open roles and candidate data.
You will handle confidential candidate, compensation, and offer information with total accuracy and discretion. You must stay calm and decisive when schedules break, communicate clearly with executives and hiring managers, and think in systems—fixing processes, not just individual instances. You will lead without direct authority, setting high standards and holding peers accountable.
1X team members who thrive here are builders who move fast, own their work completely, and treat time as the most valuable resource. They communicate directly, finish what they start, and hold themselves to high standards.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of recruiting coordination experience, including scheduling for executive or high-volume roles
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-participant interview schedules without errors
- Experience with an applicant tracking system as the system of record for hiring
- Proven track record of being the escalation point for a coordination or operations team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Ashby
- Experience implementing scheduling automation or workflow tooling (ATS integrations, no-code automations)
- Track record writing team playbooks, standard operating procedures, or training documentation
- Familiarity with hiring for hardware, robotics, or AI teams
