Physical Intelligence is developing foundation models and learning algorithms to power robots and physically-actuated devices. The company operates on-site in San Francisco with growing teams of Robot Operators, copilots, shift leads, technicians, and props staff who collect data for model training.
As Operations Recruiter, you will own the full recruiting funnel for high-volume Robot Operator hiring and adjacent site-based roles. This is a hands-on, high-volume recruiting role focused on building a repeatable local hiring engine in San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage the candidate funnel from generation through screening, creating consistent qualified pipeline to meet hiring plans
- Develop and manage sourcing channels including job boards, referrals, local partnerships, recruiting events, community organizations, and schools
- Conduct initial screens evaluating candidates for reliability, communication, attention to detail, availability, motivation, and fit
- Maintain funnel visibility and track metrics to hit weekly hiring targets
- Communicate clearly with candidates about job, process, schedule, compensation, and expectations
- Build durable recruiting partnerships with community organizations and workforce development sources
- Create simple, repeatable processes for high-volume recruiting; track conversion by source and use downstream performance data to refine screening and sourcing
- Work closely with operations leadership to understand hiring needs and gather feedback from trials and managers
Requirements:
- Experience recruiting hourly or high-volume roles (operations, warehouse, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, field roles) where you owned sourcing and screening end-to-end
- Track record of personally screening high volume of candidates weekly while maintaining consistent bar
- Hands-on experience building local candidate pipelines through community organizations, schools, events, referrals, and partnerships (ideally San Francisco Bay Area)
- Comfort tracking funnel metrics and adjusting sourcing based on conversion and downstream quality data
- Clear, warm, and timely communication with candidates from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organization and follow-through in fast-moving environment with changing hiring demand
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco
Bonus:
- Experience recruiting for roles using work trials, skills assessments, or on-the-job evaluations
- Familiarity with Ashby or similar ATS and automating scheduling/candidate communications
- Early-stage startup experience building recruiting processes from scratch
- Existing relationships with Bay Area workforce development organizations, community colleges, or trade programs
