Salary: USD 240,000 - 295,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking an experienced M&A Recruiter to join the Talent team and serve as a strategic bridge between Corporate Development and the technical organization. This role is critical to Anthropic's mission of building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems—in some cases, the specialized talent needed can only be accessed through M&A and acquihire processes.
You will partner closely with Corporate Development, Technical Leadership, Product, Research, Engineering, and People to source, assess, and integrate world-class technical talent from acquisition targets. Key responsibilities include:
• Evaluating M&A targets with Corporate Development and Technical Leadership, assessing talent quality, cultural alignment, and strategic fit
• Building and maintaining relationships with founders, technical leaders, and key engineers at target companies
• Developing deep expertise in the technical talent landscape across priority areas and leading technical talent assessments for potential acquisitions
• Owning the recruiting process and ensuring exceptional onboarding experiences for technical talent joining through acquisitions
• Collaborating with People, Legal, and Corp Dev to structure competitive offers that appropriately recognize founders' prior contributions
• Maintaining confidentiality and navigating sensitive conversations with discretion
You bring 7+ years of technical recruiting experience, with at least 3 years supporting corporate development, M&A, or acquihire processes. You have a proven track record hiring engineers, research scientists, and technical leaders in highly competitive markets. You understand what makes technical teams exceptional and can assess whether a team meets Anthropic's high bar. You're comfortable navigating complex, sensitive hiring situations where trust-building and discretion are essential. You communicate clearly and directly, with a bias toward action. Experience recruiting at high-growth AI/ML companies or in founder/executive search is a plus.
Anthhropic offers competitive salary ($240,000–$295,000 annually), equity, comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, generous parental leave, flexible PTO, 401(k)), and a hybrid work arrangement with an expectation of at least 25% in-office time.
