Mintlify is a documentation platform serving 100+ million developers annually and powering docs for 20,000+ companies including Anthropic, Microsoft, PayPal, Spotify, and Coinbase. Fresh off a $45M Series B led by A16Z and Salesforce Ventures, the company is scaling from 65 employees and building out its talent function.
As the second member of the Talent team, you'll own full-cycle recruitment for multiple critical roles across the organization. Your responsibilities include driving sourcing and closing processes, working directly with founders and hiring managers to refine job descriptions and interview processes, and building recruiting infrastructure for the next growth phase.
You'll influence hiring best practices by developing interview rubrics, designing screening questions, and educating hiring teams. You'll take ownership of passive sourcing pipelines, knowing when to leverage external recruiters or internal resources. A core part of the role is building trust-based relationships with candidates, understanding their motivations, and closing high-impact hires. You'll use recruiting metrics to drive activity, present findings to stakeholders, and rapidly iterate on processes to reduce time-to-hire while maintaining candidate experience.
The role requires 1-3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in seed-stage through Series D startups with high talent standards. You should have a strong track record sourcing and engaging passive candidates, with proven ability to write compelling outreach copy and A/B test for conversion. You're a generalist who thrives owning both strategic hiring decisions and operational execution, moving with urgency across multiple concurrent searches without losing stakeholder alignment.
Bonus experience includes exposure to scaling recruiting functions through major growth phases, familiarity with AI tools for recruiting efficiency, and ability to speak the language of engineering talent to identify exceptional candidates others overlook.
