Mercor is a Series C AI data company ($10B valuation) that organizes human intelligence to power the AI economy. The company operates a platform where millions of domain experts train frontier AI models, and is expanding into enterprise with Mercor Enterprise, helping Fortune 500 companies capture and translate expert knowledge into AI agents. As a Recruiter, you will own full-cycle hiring across multiple functions with particular focus on the Operations organization. You'll partner directly with General Managers to identify and recruit high-performing operators who work with leading AI labs. This is a foundational 0→1 recruiting motion with the opportunity to establish best-in-class talent acquisition infrastructure. Key responsibilities include: sourcing and closing candidates across marketing, finance, people ops, and operations; mapping hiring needs and implementing process improvements; building top-of-funnel through creative outbound and structured screening; coaching hiring managers on interview best practices and decision hygiene; operationalizing hiring systems and tracking key metrics (pass-through rates, time-in-stage, source yield); driving speed and quality with same-day debriefs and fast offers; building employer brand through campaigns, referrals, and events; representing Mercor externally to competitive talent markets; and collaborating on recruiting dashboards and process automation in Ashby. You should have full-cycle recruiting experience across individual contributor and leadership roles, proven ability to build and scale hiring systems with data-driven decision-making, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with GTM, Strategy, and Operations roles is essential, with some technical recruiting expertise (SWEs, FDEs) preferred. Nice-to-haves include founding recruiter experience, interest in human data/AGI space, and technical recruiting background. The ideal candidate combines agility, operational rigor, growth mindset, outcome commitment, and genuine passion for building world-class talent acquisition processes. Mercor operates in-person five days per week from San Francisco, NYC, or London offices. The company is profitable and growing rapidly, with hiring viewed as a key strategic driver.
