Novartis (DTX Pharma division) seeks a Record to Report Specialist to support financial reporting and accounting operations in Mexico City. You will provide analytical support for financial reporting, accounting activities, and finance-related projects, preparing accurate and timely financial analyses and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include supporting month-end and reporting activities such as accruing manual entries and provisional calculations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and controls; maintaining accurate financial records including revenue recognition and general ledger information; identifying reporting issues and recommending solutions to improve process efficiency and data quality; and contributing to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure service delivery excellence and adherence to agreed service levels.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting; 3–5+ years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, record-to-report processes, or related finance operations; strong understanding of financial accounting principles, controls, and reporting requirements; analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights; proactive focus on internal controls, regulatory compliance, and operational integrity; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience preparing financial analyses and management reports; fluency in English with good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable qualifications include experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning systems, experience in a multinational, shared services, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment, and revenue recognition experience. This is a Band Level 3 position within Novartis' global finance operations.
