Anduril Industries is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Dive-XL autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) program in Quonset, Rhode Island. This role is central to scaling production of next-generation AUVs designed for full-ocean-depth seabed exploration and defense applications.
You will own quality processes for AUV integration, working across product development, manufacturing, and field operations. Key responsibilities include executing the quality vision for component integration (sensors, PCBAs, cables, actuators, machined structures), conducting audits and inspections to ensure AS9100 compliance, and leading non-conformance review (NCR) and root cause corrective action (RCCA) processes.
You will develop incoming inspection control plans in collaboration with design engineering, defining Critical-to-Function (CTF) and Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) dimensions. You'll partner with manufacturing engineering and chief engineers to drive product quality and performance requirements into test and measurement systems. The role requires hands-on involvement with vendors, production teams, and defense customers to deliver world-class quality processes.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, experience in manufacturing or quality within complex assembly environments, and working knowledge of defense quality standards (AS9100). You must demonstrate expertise in FMEA, APQP, PPAP, GD&T, and statistical analysis tools. Experience with PLM and MES systems is expected. U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility is required.
