Huntress, founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, is building enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. The company operates a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC) and now secures 5M+ endpoints and 15M+ identities worldwide. You will build and lead the Security Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up, establishing the measurement, governance, and controls that enable Huntress to safely expand agentic security operations. This role begins as a hands-on individual contributor but is expected to grow into a management position overseeing the QMS function. Key responsibilities include: - Design and maintain the QMS across agentic and human-led investigations - Establish sampling methodologies, review cadences, quality standards, and validation criteria for decisions, workflows, escalations, and remediations - Independently review agentic investigation outcomes and compare them against expert analyst baselines to build trust in automation - Monitor decision quality, workflow effectiveness, behavioral drift, and recurring failure patterns, escalating risks before they impact customers - Produce quality scorecards and reporting explaining accuracy, trends, confidence intervals, and operational impact - Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action validation, translating findings into practical improvements across Analysis, Product, Engineering, and Security Operations - Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, and synthesis while maintaining sound judgment and validation You bring 5+ years of experience building or managing quality, governance, operational excellence, or control programs—ideally in a security operations environment. You have a background managing people, setting expectations, coaching performance, and building team capability. You understand SOC investigations, analyst decision-making, escalations, and remediation workflows. You can design meaningful quality measurements and sampling approaches that distinguish signal from noise. You are comfortable building programs from scratch, defining practical standards, and evolving them as systems and needs change. You communicate findings directly and constructively, maintain independence in assessments, and turn quality risks into clear corrective actions. You use AI tools thoughtfully to improve daily work while keeping accuracy and accountability with you. Compensation: $185,000–$200,000 base plus bonus and equity. 100% remote since founding. Generous PTO, 12 weeks paid parental leave, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with 5% company contribution, life and disability insurance, stock options for all full-time employees, and $500 home office reimbursement.
