Kraken, founded in 2011 and one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, is seeking a Manager of Pro Trading & Derivatives Communications to lead and execute communications programs supporting the company's professional trading, derivatives, and institutional segments.
In this role, you will inspire and support a communications team responsible for building and executing integrated external communications strategies aligned to Kraken's business goals. You will develop and execute communications strategies aimed at advancing the company's brand with key stakeholders across professional traders, derivatives users, and institutional clients globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop strategies to expand Kraken's thought leadership positioning across professional and institutional client segments, executing and expanding reach through unique storytelling approaches around trading products, risk management, and market infrastructure.
- Develop and expand Kraken's bench of spokespeople in pro trading and derivatives, building strategic messaging at executive, product, and segment levels that resonates with traders, fund managers, and institutional decision-makers.
- Prepare communications materials including company announcements, talking points, media statements, speaker submissions, pitches, and briefing materials tailored to professional and institutional audiences.
- Build connectivity with multiple stakeholders including institutional partners, trading desks, market data providers, the communications team, and key external agencies.
- Bring social media first thinking to media relations and content, with particular attention to platforms where professional traders and institutions gather.
- Work directly with executives to enhance executive presence, deliver strong messaging, and improve presentation and interview skills.
- Lead, mentor, and scale the communications team.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7+ years of proven experience leading and executing communications programs and initiatives
- Crypto experience preferred
- Outstanding writing, editing, and communications strategy skills
- Hands-on contributor with ability to translate complex topics and capture views and voices of senior leaders
- Experience working with geographically dispersed workforce and managing complex communications challenges
- Experience working directly with executives to enhance executive presence and deliver strong messaging
- Team player with track record of success delivering high-quality work in fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling communications teams
- Knowledgeable and passionate about the crypto industry
