Kraken, one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms founded in 2011, is seeking a Manager of Pro Trading & Derivatives Communications to lead and execute communications programs for professional traders, derivatives users, and institutional clients globally.
You will develop and execute an integrated external communications strategy aligned to Kraken's business goals, focused on advancing the company's brand with key stakeholders in the pro trading, derivatives, and institutional segments. Your responsibilities include:
- Develop strategies to expand Kraken's thought leadership positioning across professional and institutional client segments, executing and expanding reach through unique storytelling approaches around trading products, risk management, and market infrastructure.
- Build and expand Kraken's bench of spokespeople in pro trading and derivatives, developing strategic messaging at executive, product, and segment levels that resonates with traders, fund managers, and institutional decision-makers.
- Prepare communications materials including company announcements, talking points, media statements, speaker submissions, pitches, and briefing materials tailored to professional and institutional audiences.
- Build connectivity with multiple stakeholders including institutional partners, trading desks, market data providers, the communications team, and key external agencies.
- Bring social media first thinking to media relations and content, with particular attention to platforms where professional traders and institutions gather.
- Lead, mentor, and scale the communications team.
- Work directly with executives to enhance executive presence, deliver strong messaging, and improve presentation and interview skills.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7+ years of proven experience leading and executing communications programs and initiatives
- Crypto experience preferred
- Outstanding writing, editing, and communications strategy skills
- Hands-on contributor with ability to translate complex topics and capture views and voices of senior leaders
- Experience working with geographically dispersed workforce and managing complex communications challenges
- Experience working directly with executives to enhance executive presence
- Team player with track record of success in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling communications teams
- Knowledgeable and passionate about the crypto industry
