Voyager Technologies, a space, defense, and national security technology company, is seeking a Proposal Project Manager to join its Proposal Development Team in Pittsburgh. You will report to the Director of Proposal Development and manage the end-to-end proposal development process for commercial spacecraft delivery services and spacecraft systems, working with government agencies (NASA, DoD) and commercial customers.
Key responsibilities include: managing proposal development from kickoff through submission; coordinating cross-functional teams (engineers, technical writers, designers); developing and maintaining project schedules, Statements of Work, budgets, and risk registers; writing proposal sections covering project management, scheduling, pricing, risk mitigation, and supply chain management; engaging with external partners and vendors; managing customer interactions including industry days and Q&A submissions; ensuring compliance with all proposal requirements; conducting internal proposal reviews; and maintaining proposal templates and archives.
You will need 4+ years of professional experience with at least 2 years in project management, ideally in aerospace hardware or software programs. A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required. Essential skills include proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project, strong organizational abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities. Desired experience includes government proposal management, technical development for first-of-kind products, aerospace customer/partner engagement, and vendor/supply chain management.
The role is based in Pittsburgh with on-site work preferred, though remote work may be considered for strong candidates. Voyager offers competitive total compensation including flexible time off and comprehensive benefits.
