Sakana AI, an AI company based in Japan, is seeking a Project Manager (Business Analyst) for the Defense and Intelligence sector. This full-time role is based in Tokyo and requires business-level Japanese proficiency (business-level English is a plus).
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify challenges in the defense or intelligence sectors and collaborate with engineers and researchers to develop AI-based solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and related companies in the defense and intelligence sectors, identifying new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies informed by global technology trends in defense and intelligence.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in one of the following areas:
Defense Sector:
- Experience at a global top-tier management consulting firm working with government agencies including the Ministry of Defense, OR
- Sales experience at a defense manufacturer or trading company serving defense-related government agencies.
Intelligence Sector:
- Experience at a global top-tier management consulting firm working with government agencies including the Ministry of Defense, OR
- Sales experience at a defense manufacturer or trading company serving defense-related government agencies, OR
- Experience in intelligence-related research, analysis, or product development.
Additional Requirements:
- Passion for generative AI models such as LLMs and AI agents.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (engineering, computer science, or machine learning preferred).
- Japanese citizenship may be prioritized due to the nature of the role.
