Salary: USD 87,188 - 114,434 / annual
Oscar Health is seeking a Health System Contracting Associate to join the Network Contracting team. This role is central to developing and executing Oscar's network strategy by evaluating, negotiating, and managing partnerships with hospitals and health systems.
You will combine financial analysis, strategic problem-solving, and relationship management to improve affordability, network access, and member experience. Key responsibilities include analyzing provider performance and financial information, developing negotiation strategies, supporting complex contract negotiations, and translating findings into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
Specific duties encompass supporting market-level contracting strategies that advance network adequacy, growth, affordability, and member experience; analyzing provider economics, reimbursement arrangements, utilization, and competitive dynamics; preparing for and participating in negotiations with hospitals and health systems; negotiating and managing contracts with assigned healthcare providers; conducting comprehensive reviews of existing provider agreements; managing cross-functional contracting workstreams from analysis through implementation; and monitoring assigned networks for compliance with standards.
You will partner across Network, Finance, Legal, Provider Operations, and other teams to implement agreements, resolve provider issues, and identify opportunities to strengthen Oscar's networks. You will report to the Manager, Network Contracting.
The role is based in the field with a blend of home office work and frequent local travel for client meetings. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events. Candidates must reside in Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.
