Re:Build Manufacturing, part of a family of industrial businesses focused on revitalizing the U.S. manufacturing base, is seeking a Project Manager for its Tekna subsidiary in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Tekna, founded in 1988, provides design consulting, contract manufacturing, and original equipment manufacturing services across medical, life science, consumer, and industrial sectors.
The Project Manager will oversee internal and external project deliverables, ensuring successful completion and coordination across cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include developing project definitions and scope of work, creating detailed short- and long-term project plans, managing material deliveries and timelines, and tracking budget parameters. You will develop technical specifications, resource plans, and presentation materials while monitoring project progress and communicating status to clients and stakeholders.
Day-to-day activities involve work breakdown structure development, schedule creation, vendor coordination, issue resolution, scope change management, and risk assessment. The role requires close collaboration with coworkers and vendors to ensure project goals are met on schedule. You will also mentor entry-level project leaders or newly hired project managers, review post-project processes for continuous improvement, and negotiate for additional personnel or resources as needed.
