Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Program Operations Manager to join its Maritime Division's Heavy Metal business line. This hybrid role serves as the operational right hand to the Program Manager for a new autonomous maritime platform, acting as connective tissue across Finance (EVMS), Stakeholder Integration, Supply Chain, Workforce Development, and Facilities. You will balance program-facing discipline (running a large, complex program on cost and schedule against Earned Value Management System requirements) with division-level business operations (strategic initiatives, executive rhythm, planning cycles, and scalable execution patterns). You'll be equally comfortable in a manufacturing bay and in executive reviews. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as operational backbone for the Program Manager, coordinating across core areas of responsibility to enable program scaling and deliverable achievement - Support Stakeholder Integration across demanding external environment (customers, prime partners, government, community stakeholders) and internal contributors (Manufacturing Technology and Digital teams) - Translate procurement and vendor performance data into program-level risk pictures, surfacing long-lead exposure, sole-source concentrations, and supplier ramp risk - Partner with Workforce Development on hiring, training, and skillset scaling for exponential program growth, converting workforce plans into integrated tracking systems - Connect facility milestones, capital deployment, and production readiness so facility readiness and product build plans are integrated - Lead strategic initiatives and special projects (operating-model design, executive-review preparation, diligence sprints on production, real estate, security, growth) - Support corporate planning cycle, building and monitoring performance against goals, financial plans, and headcount plans - Onboard new team members and establish internal operating cadence (all-hands, business reviews, division-wide events) This is a foundational role for one of Anduril's fastest-growing divisions, standing up a world-class execution concept underpinned by digital-first production and advanced manufacturing technologies. REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years of experience in program operations, consulting, corporate strategy, finance, defense/aerospace program management, or business analysis - Strong problem-solving skills in complex, ambiguous, cross-functional environments with people-centric approach - High ownership and low ego; strong outcome orientation with high humility; comfortable with unglamorous work of running large programs - Thought partner mentality: translating operational problems into data problems and executing on them - Both tactical and strategic: comfortable in details (yard, data) and at 30,000-foot level - Fast learner who can move fluently between finance, supply chain, workforce, and construction - Willing and able to be based in Washington, DC area with regular travel to Costa Mesa, CA and other Anduril sites - Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of experience and Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVMS) as practitioner, auditor, or program leader - Prior experience in shipbuilding, heavy manufacturing, aerospace, or large defense programs, especially with U.S. Navy or prime shipbuilder relationships - Experience standing up operating cadence for fast-growing teams (battle rhythms, review structures, planning cycles, tracking systems) - Comfort working across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and workforce functions simultaneously
