Saronic Technologies is seeking a Program Manager to own end-to-end execution and delivery of Marauder, a 180-foot Autonomous Surface Vessel (ASV) flagship program. This role is accountable for cost, schedule, scope, and customer outcomes from contract award through delivery and sustainment.
The Program Manager serves as the primary customer-facing owner, partnering closely with internal growth, engineering, production, and quality teams. The role requires deep expertise in large-scale shipbuilding and rate production, paired with understanding of modular kits, payloads, and mission-package integration. The candidate must balance production throughput with mission flexibility on a common hull configured to meet diverse customer needs.
Key responsibilities include owning integrated program planning aligned to customer commitments, managing cost, schedule, scope, and quality across the program lifecycle. The role interfaces extensively with the Franklin, LA shipyard production team to plan and execute rate production, monitoring build sequencing, work breakdown, and production milestones while protecting throughput and quality. The Program Manager owns configuration strategy for Marauder across various mission packages and payloads, partnering with Mission Package Integration Managers to plan integration of bespoke and commercial-off-the-shelf kits.
Customer and stakeholder engagement is central: serving as primary point of contact, managing expectations and requirements, eliciting evolving mission needs, and leading program reviews and technical exchanges with government stakeholders. The role directs and synchronizes a cross-functional program team spanning Production, Engineering, Software, Mission Services, and Forward Deployed Engineering, making and defending tradeoff decisions across capability, schedule, cost, and risk.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related technical field, plus 10+ years of program management experience in large-scale production, shipbuilding, or complex defense development programs. Experience with Unmanned Surface Vessels is highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate ownership of cost, schedule, and scope on significant programs, proven ability to manage government/defense customers and contracts, and willingness to travel up to 25%. Secret security clearance eligibility is required; active clearance is preferred.
