Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Program Finance Manager to lead financial management for a portfolio of government contracts within the Advanced Effects business line. This role owns end-to-end financial leadership across multiple contract types for high-growth missile programs scaling from development into production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning program financial performance for government contracts, driving predictable outcomes from award through execution and closeout
- Leading EAC (Estimate at Completion) and forecast governance, setting standards and driving variance/root-cause analysis
- Partnering with Program Management and Contracts on CLIN structure, funding, burn, billing, contract modifications, and financial reporting
- Leading monthly FP&A forecasting with focus on understanding program-driven financial changes
- Driving production and unit-economics insights including margin analysis, COGS, inventory impacts, and cost-reduction opportunities
- Owning planning deliverables (AOP/LRP) for portfolio consolidation and alignment to leadership commitments
- Operating performance management including EVM (Earned Value Management) baseline management and variance interpretation
- Building scalable processes, models, and tooling to improve speed, accuracy, and governance as program volume increases
- Delivering decision memos and narratives for leadership and Corporate Finance
- Hiring, developing, and mentoring finance analysts; setting standards for analytical quality and controls
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis for business cases and strategic studies
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; 6-10+ years of progressive DoD/government contract finance or program finance experience with ownership of large/complex programs; demonstrated EAC development and forecasting discipline; working knowledge of FAR/DFARS concepts; experience supporting manufacturing/production finance (COGS, inventory, variances); advanced Excel/modeling skills; track record of leading cross-functional workstreams; eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include advanced degree (MBA, CFA, CPA), existing security clearance, DAU Financial Management certification and/or PMP, experience with EVM tools (Deltek Cobra) and program scheduling tools (Microsoft Project), and experience scaling finance processes in high-growth environments.
