As Program Director for Surgical Services, you will lead the full operational and quality lifecycle of Stepful's Surgical Technology and Sterile Processing programs across 12+ healthcare employer partners in multiple states. This is a portfolio-level role reporting to the Senior Director of Operations.
Key responsibilities include: owning day-to-day operations spanning didactic (online), skills lab (in-person), and clinical education components; safeguarding NCCT program approval and regulatory compliance by protecting certification pass rates, graduation rates, and job placement outcomes; conducting program evaluation and using data to drive continuous improvement; hiring, onboarding, and managing full-time staff and contractor/adjunct instructor pools; setting quality standards and coaching team members; serving as primary point of contact for healthcare employer partners across multiple states; leading client site visits and clinical skills calibration; collaborating with curriculum teams to strengthen content aligned with industry standards; overseeing student progress and academic advising; and experimenting with AI tools to improve workflows and outcomes.
You bring 3+ years teaching surgical technology with course delivery and assessment experience; active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist or NCCT TS-C certification; 5+ years clinical or operational experience in surgical technology, sterile processing, or related surgical services; 2+ years healthcare education, training program administration, or clinical operations with instructional oversight (regulatory/certification compliance experience preferred); demonstrated team management experience including contractors/adjuncts; experience with enterprise clients, clinical sites, or healthcare employer partners; strong cross-functional collaboration skills; and comfort in fast-growing environments where priorities evolve. EdTech or online/hybrid healthcare training experience is a bonus.
