ICEYE is seeking a Program Director to lead its Missions delivery capability in Germany, driving strategic customer success and scalable program execution across defense and intelligence customers. You will own the full lifecycle of customer satellite missions—from contract strategy through delivery and renewal—serving as the senior accountable leader across engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams.
Key responsibilities include ensuring satellite mission programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meeting performance targets; establishing and sustaining trusted partnerships with German defense and intelligence customers; building a scalable Missions delivery model with appropriate team structure, processes, tooling, and KPIs; identifying commercial opportunities for renewal and expansion; owning strategic risks and customer escalations; driving program management improvements; and providing stakeholders with timely visibility into program status.
You will report to the Program Director of Missions and be based in Berlin with regular travel to Espoo (Finland) and customer sites across the region. The role requires a strategic leader with 10+ years' experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs in advanced technology environments (space, defense, telecommunications, national security). You must have demonstrated Director-level experience owning program portfolios and customer outcomes, proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in international matrixed organizations, expertise in end-to-end program governance and financial control, and exceptional executive presence with senior government and defense stakeholders.
Required qualifications: fluent German and English, degree in business/engineering or related field, ability to obtain suitable German security clearance. Nice-to-haves include experience in Earth Observation, SAR, remote sensing, sovereign/government satellite missions, German/European defense customers, and mission-critical systems development. The role is permanent, hybrid, and subject to security screening including SUPO where required. Relocation support is available.
