TerraClear is an AI and robotics company transforming agriculture by automating labor-intensive farm tasks. The company's first product uses autonomous systems to clear rocks from fields—a major pain point affecting nearly half of North American farms. They're now expanding into weed, pest, and disease management.
As Production Operations Manager, you'll lead the post-flight processing and quality control operations that deliver high-quality agricultural maps to farmers within 24 hours of image capture. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small core team of production specialists plus seasonal technicians (3–9 depending on season), running 24/7 operations during peak periods.
Key responsibilities include:
• Owning end-to-end delivery metrics: next-day map turnaround, quality standards, and order queue prioritization across shifts
• Managing a 24/7 production pipeline: triaging errors, resolving bottlenecks, and coordinating with Flight Operations and Product/Engineering teams
• Building and scaling the team: recruiting, onboarding, and training seasonal staff; conducting 1:1s; setting performance goals
• Process improvement: identifying automation opportunities, implementing field feedback, writing SOPs and training materials
• Capacity planning: building seasonal staffing and infrastructure plans; representing production in quarterly/annual planning
• Launching new products: defining QC protocols and training regimens for new map products as the company expands
You'll work closely with Flight Operations, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to ensure reliable, high-quality delivery. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, metric ownership, and the ability to scale operations as the business grows.
