Scopely is seeking a Production Director for Live Operations to lead the operational health and execution of MONOPOLY GO!, the world's biggest mobile game launch. This role owns the systems, teams, and practices that enable the game to ship reliably, perform consistently, and respond to player and developer needs.
You will lead production strategy across Live Operations, the LiveOps Calendar, Live Performance, and GameOps Tooling, ensuring the organization executes thousands of live changes safely while improving speed, quality, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring comfort with both multi-year strategic planning and diving into release schedules, incidents, production bottlenecks, and execution workflows.
Key responsibilities include: owning Live Operations excellence by leading production across live events, promotions, and updates while balancing execution quality, speed, reliability, and team effectiveness; governing the LiveOps Calendar to ensure well-planned, coordinated, and executable releases across Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics, QA, Localization, CRM, Marketing, and Community teams; driving GameOps Tooling strategy by partnering with Engineering to define roadmaps that improve efficiency, reliability, and automation; staying deeply engaged in execution by understanding operational pain points, jumping into critical launches and incidents, and reviewing schedules and workflows; shaping organizational strategy through long-term operational roadmaps, capacity planning, and governance improvements; leading through influence by building partnerships with senior leaders and aligning diverse stakeholders around shared goals; and building high-performing teams by mentoring Production Managers and Producers while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Required qualifications include extensive experience leading Live Operations or Production within large-scale live service games, demonstrated success as a Director-level production leader across complex organizations, deep understanding of LiveOps execution and release management, and experience owning large operational calendars with frequent releases and multiple cross-functional dependencies.
