Halter is transforming pasture-based ranching globally with a product that combines hardware, software, animal behavior science, and real ranch operations. The company is backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC. As Product Training Specialist, you will own the training and enablement function for all customer-facing teams across Support, Onboarding, and Go-To-Market. Your core responsibilities include: **Core Responsibilities:** - Build and run the new starter training program for all customer-facing hires, including on-farm training camps and R&D ranch visits - Own the seasonal training calendar, adapting content as ranching seasons and product capabilities evolve - Create comprehensive training content including modules, assessments, and tests covering the full product suite (collar behavior, virtual fencing, app workflows) - Coordinate with Product and Product Marketing to ensure training is ready at product launch - Maintain and evolve training content as the product develops, ensuring teams stay current - Run competency assessments for both new starters and existing team members, providing actionable feedback - Stay embedded with Support, Onboarding, and GTM teams through support calls, ranch visits, and regular check-ins to identify knowledge gaps - Leverage AI tools to automate baseline training elements and free up time for high-impact human instruction - Work cross-functionally with Customer Enablement to understand rancher pain points and ensure internal teams exceed customer product knowledge **What Makes You a Fit:** You're an exceptional educator who holds a room and makes complex concepts click. You have a genuine passion for teaching and notice when someone gets stuck, adapting your approach accordingly. You care deeply about customer impact, not just program completion. You're sharp on project management, detail-oriented, and can turn complex product workflows into usable training content—both written and in-person. You're a strong cross-functional collaborator who builds trust quickly. You have genuine curiosity about how products work and chase technical details. You're comfortable around livestock and on ranches, as this is a hands-on role requiring regular field visits. You have a genuine interest in ranching and agtech, understanding that the product touches hardware, software, animal behavior, and farm operations. You have an AI-first mindset and are curious about using it to enhance training effectiveness. **Bonus Experience:** - Background working with Support, Onboarding, Customer Success, or field-based GTM teams - Experience building training collateral (written guides, assessments, short videos, visual explainers) - Familiarity with adult learning principles - Comfort using data to identify knowledge gaps - Experience in or exposure to agtech, farming, or complex technical products **Culture Note:** Halter is office-first, believing in-person connections drive growth, learning, and genuine relationships. The default is working from the office daily, with flexibility when needed based on high-trust culture principles.
