As a Product Software Engineer, you will deliver new features and products iteratively, owning the full lifecycle from discovery through design, implementation, and maintenance. You'll tackle sophisticated technical challenges spanning multiple technologies and implement scalable solutions primarily in Go, with a strong emphasis on readability and testability. You'll participate in the on-call rotation, embodying the "you build it, you run it" philosophy.
You'll work within a product team of 8, including a team lead, backend and frontend engineers, a UX/UI designer, and a product manager. The team moves fast with continuous deployments at least twice daily, uses feature flags (LaunchDarkly), and practices tracer-bullet development. You'll drive key product decisions, work transparently, and contribute to both small ad-hoc experiments and larger engineering hackathons.
Required: 5+ years hands-on programming in Go, Rust, or C/C++; 6+ years in tech (software engineering, platform, or DevOps); passion for developer tooling and the DevOps/Platform Engineering space; proactive ownership mindset; excellent communication skills. Preferred: startup experience or founder background; familiarity with IaC tools (OpenTofu, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) or Kubernetes/Cloud Native ecosystem.
