Salary: USD 98,000 - 129,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing next-generation Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for seabed exploration and maritime operations. The company is executing multi-million-dollar contracts while scaling manufacturing operations at a new facility in Quonset, Rhode Island. You will join the AUV integration team as a Product Quality Engineer, responsible for defining, developing, and executing quality processes that ensure successful vehicle integration and meet AS9100 defense customer requirements. This is a hands-on role that bridges product development, manufacturing, production, and field operations. Key responsibilities include: - Partner with manufacturing engineering, production, and development engineers to support quality of the integration process for underwater sensors, PCBAs, cables, wiring harnesses, actuators, machined parts, and structures. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. - Work cross-functionally to define and execute product build and inspection requirements that meet customer quality specifications. - Lead the non-conformance review (NCR) process for vehicle integration, identifying defects and implementing corrective actions while supporting coordinate systems, envelopes, and interfaces for system integration. - Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes, incident management, and Material Review Board (MRB) activities, owning containments for prototype and production builds. - Support incoming inspection processes and develop quality documentation, planning, and effectiveness metrics. You will be accountable for results, hands-on with engineering and production teams, and passionate about building world-class quality processes for complex defense systems. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field - Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in complex assembly and production processes - Working knowledge of quality management in defense or other highly regulated environments (AS9100, etc.) - Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization - Experience partnering with Manufacturing Engineering, chief engineers, development engineers, and customer-facing teams to deliver to customer requirements - Working knowledge of product development methodologies: FMEA, APQP, PPAP elements including MSA and GD&T - Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes - Application of industry standards and best practices - Strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion - Previous experience with PLM and MES systems - Analytical skills for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc.) - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's degree in a technical field - 5-7 years of experience developing quality systems for low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environments and suppliers - Working knowledge of AS9100/AS6500/ISO 9001-based Quality Management System requirements - Experience with IPC standards and general workmanship standards - Experience with government contracts and MIL standard requirements for aerial vehicles - Experience with Teamcenter, SolidWorks/NX, Jira, Foundry, and manufacturing execution systems - Familiarity with Manufacturing Readiness Levels
