Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing cybersecurity company that delivers autonomous penetration testing and security assessment operations at scale. The NodeZero platform helps organizations proactively identify and fix exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them, serving customers from small institutions to Global 100 enterprises.
We seek a practical, business-minded Product & Privacy Counsel to join our Legal team as a key partner across the organization. This role balances product counseling and privacy work with meaningful ownership in both areas.
In Product & Technology Counseling, you will serve as a day-to-day legal partner to Product and Engineering on new products, features, integrations, and product changes throughout the lifecycle—from early design through launch and ongoing operation. You'll identify and advise on legal and regulatory considerations involving product functionality, data use, telemetry, logging, APIs, integrations, and emerging technologies. You'll conduct legal reviews, develop practical risk mitigation approaches, advise on product terms and customer-facing documentation, and help translate legal requirements into scalable product controls. You'll also advise on AI and emerging technology deployment and develop playbooks to help teams address legal requirements earlier in development.
In Privacy & Data Protection, you'll help operate and scale Horizon3's global privacy program. You'll advise on GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, US state privacy laws, and emerging regulations. You'll embed privacy-by-design principles, conduct privacy impact assessments, advise on data processing obligations, manage cross-border data transfers, handle data subject rights, draft and negotiate Data Processing Agreements, maintain privacy policies, and partner with Security and Compliance on incidents and audits.
Cross-functionally, you'll partner with Legal, Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, GTM, and Operations to resolve matters efficiently. You'll support enterprise customer negotiations on product, privacy, and data protection issues, and develop templates and guidance that enable the business to operate efficiently while maintaining legal guardrails.
Success means becoming a trusted partner across Product and Privacy—helping teams identify and address legal requirements early, independently owning core elements of the global privacy program, and providing practical solutions that allow the company to innovate and scale responsibly.
