Neuralink is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its Legal team, supporting the company's procurement, operations, and engineering initiatives. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on managing the full contract lifecycle with high volume and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and managing commercial agreements (NDAs, vendor agreements, statements of work, amendments, renewals); serving as the primary triage point for legal support requests and escalating complex issues to attorneys; owning the contract workflow end-to-end (intake, e-signature, execution, filing, obligation tracking); managing and building Legal's technology platform (contract lifecycle management, e-signature, document storage); developing process improvements and AI-enabled automation to reduce cycle times; creating contract templates, playbooks, and self-service workflows; managing contract repositories and databases; and building strong relationships with internal business stakeholders.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree (J.D. preferred) or equivalent practical experience; 4+ years of contract management experience, preferably in hardware, technology, medical device, or manufacturing; proficiency with contract management systems; high attention to detail and organizational skills; knowledge of commercial contract terms and legal principles; demonstrated ability to independently manage high-volume contracts with good escalation judgment; cross-functional experience with legal and business teams; strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills; and ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Ironclad, Lexion, or similar CLM systems; prior in-house legal department experience at high-growth or regulated companies; procurement, supply chain, construction, or hardware manufacturing contracting support; familiarity with AI/generative technology for process automation; experience organizing legal files and corporate records; and proficiency with productivity software, databases, e-signature, and cloud storage tools.
The role is fully on-site in South San Francisco and embedded within a small, collaborative legal team committed to operating with maximum efficiency and supporting the company's mission to create brain-computer interface devices.
