Rapyd, a global fintech platform unifying payments, payouts, and financial services, is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager (MLRO) to join its Singapore office. This is a hands-on senior role reporting directly to the Singapore Board with a dotted line to the Head of APAC Compliance in Hong Kong. You will serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and primary regulatory contact for the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), responsible for ensuring full compliance with MAS regulations, the Payment Services Act, and international AML/CTF standards. This is a high-stakes regulatory position requiring deep expertise in Singapore's financial regulatory environment and payment services compliance. Key responsibilities include: - Developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures aligned with MAS regulations and applicable frameworks - Acting as the accountable MLRO and primary MAS contact, managing supervisory examinations, regulatory notices (PSN01/PSN02), section 46 queries, and AML/CFT thematic reviews - Owning ongoing MAS correspondence and regulatory commitments, including drafting management action plans and tracking deliverables to closure - Leading investigation and reporting of suspicious transaction activity, signing off on Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), and ensuring AML/CTF best practices - Advising on transaction monitoring rule design and risk typology optimization in partnership with global compliance teams - Monitoring Singapore's evolving regulatory landscape and translating obligations into actionable initiatives - Leading regulatory audits, internal reviews, and driving timely remediation of compliance findings - Delivering compliance reporting and dashboards to senior management highlighting trends and risks - Operating in a hands-on environment, drafting policies, reviewing cases, and engaging regulators directly The role requires strong subject-matter expertise in Singapore's financial regulatory environment, comfort operating at pace in a high-stakes environment, and the ability to balance Singapore-specific compliance with global fintech strategy.
