Jerry.ai is a pre-IPO insurtech startup that has raised $240M, serves 5M+ customers, and is profitable. The company is building an AI-powered platform to manage car ownership—covering insurance, maintenance, repairs, and buying/selling. Jerry launched car insurance in 2019 and became a top-three broker in the US, leveraging homegrown generative AI infrastructure built before off-the-shelf platforms existed.
You will own the Agentic AI product platform, sitting at the intersection of product, engineering, and applied AI. The current system already automates over 70% of inbound sales and service requests (50k+ chats monthly), with prompts and AI workflows scattered across six separate locations. Your mission is to unify this infrastructure, establish a single source of truth, and define the roadmap for next-generation capabilities including voicebot, computer-use agents, and consumer AI applications.
Key responsibilities include: leading end-to-end development of the AI platform and customer experiences from roadmap through rollout; partnering with engineers on prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails; serving as technical translator between engineering and the broader organization; driving systematic improvement in answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates through experimentation; and collaborating with OpenAI partners to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation.
You will report directly to the COO and own one of the company's most important growth levers. The role requires comfort with technical depth—API design, system architecture, SQL—while maintaining pragmatism about tradeoffs. You should be an AI enthusiast who reads release notes, builds custom workflows, thinks in systems, and validates hypotheses with data.
