Tennr is a healthcare operations platform that automates complex insurance referral and prior authorization workflows for providers and health systems. The company uses proprietary models to handle the tedious administrative work that delays patient care and provider payments.
You will lead the operating system for Tennr's Product and Engineering organization. This is a cross-functional role that sits between Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams (CX, Deployment, Sales, Managed Services). You'll own the end-to-end product development lifecycle and serve as a critical connector between what customers need and what the product team ships.
Key responsibilities:
- Run the planning and review cadence for Product and Engineering, including quarterly planning, goal setting, and regular business reviews. Consolidate priorities, capacity, headcount needs, and dependencies to enable informed decision-making.
- Own the voice-of-customer function: capture and synthesize feedback from CX, Deployment, Sales, and Managed Services into clear, prioritized roadmap inputs. Close the loop with teams that raised feedback.
- Lead product rollouts end-to-end: coordinate launch readiness, documentation, training, and customer enablement across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Deployment, and Customer Experience. Own the launch calendar, run go/no-go reviews, manage beta programs, and conduct post-launch retros.
- Identify and prioritize strategic vendors and partners needed to deliver or enhance Tennr's products. Evaluate opportunities and coordinate commercial, technical, and operational work to establish relationships.
- Build internal tools and automations (including AI-powered workflows) that increase PM and Engineering efficiency, from feedback triage to planning dashboards.
- Design and refine lightweight processes that scale with the team. Measure adoption and effectiveness.
- Use data and feedback to assess whether plans and rollouts are working. Identify gaps, make recommendations, and drive resolution.
- Own cross-functional projects as the business evolves, from problem definition through execution and measurement.
You'll work closely with Product and Engineering leadership and report to the VP of Strategy and Operations. The role is based in Tennr's Hudson Square office in Manhattan, with an expectation of 4 days per week in-office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–5 years of professional experience, including at least 1–2 years in Product Management or Product Operations at a software company
- Direct experience working with Product and Engineering teams on planning, launches, or roadmap tradeoffs
- Ambitious and seeking substantial ownership of how a product organization plans and ships
- Quick learner who can get deep into unfamiliar products, workflows, or technical systems
- Ability to use data and customer feedback to assess plan and launch effectiveness and determine next steps
- Collaborative by default; can align Product, Engineering, and go-to-market teams without detailed instructions
- Strong writer who can distill complex decisions into clear documents, launch pre-reads, and updates
- Takes responsibility for outcomes and persists until problems are resolved
- Strong work ethic and low ego; willing to do detailed, repetitive, or messy work when needed
