Salary: CAD 190,280 - 237,180 / annual
Tailscale is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join its fully distributed marketing team. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and pain points—particularly around privileged access management (PAM), networking infrastructure, and enterprise security—and translating technical features into compelling, easy-to-digest benefits for go-to-market initiatives.
Key responsibilities include becoming the expert on Tailscale's users and customers, collaborating with sales, product, and marketing teams to develop positioning and messaging, launching new products or features while measuring revenue impact, and creating sales enablement materials (decks, case studies, webinars, training). You will also conduct competitive and market analysis to inform strategy, represent the company at industry events, and help drive meaningful sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of product marketing, sales enablement, or related experience with a proven track record in a technical environment. You should be comfortable with complex, highly technical subjects; skilled at managing interdependent projects; analytical and data-driven; and able to thrive in ambiguity with a bias toward action and iteration. Excellent cross-functional communication and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to work asynchronously in a fully remote, early-stage environment.
Nice-to-have qualifications include startup experience and prior work with networking or security products in SaaS or cloud environments. Tailscale was founded in 2019, is fully distributed, and is backed by Accel, CRV, Insight, Heavybit, and Uncork Capital.
