OpenAI is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for Advertising to drive go-to-market strategy and execution for the company's advertising products and features. You will work at the intersection of product, marketing, and sales to understand advertiser needs, develop compelling positioning, and launch new capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to product and marketing strategy for OpenAI's advertising business alongside senior product marketers and cross-functional teams
- Conducting customer research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify positioning and adoption opportunities
- Developing and maintaining positioning and messaging that translates complex AI capabilities into clear value propositions for different advertiser segments and use cases
- Partnering with Product and Engineering to synthesize advertiser feedback and market insights that inform product roadmap decisions
- Owning go-to-market execution for new products and features, managing defined workstreams from planning through launch and post-launch adoption
- Creating advertiser-facing content and sales enablement materials (product narratives, decks, case studies, launch communications, FAQs)
- Collaborating with Sales, Partnerships, Data Science, and Analytics to track success metrics and assess launch performance
- Identifying and escalating advertiser concerns related to performance, safety, policy, and trust; incorporating guidance into customer communications
- Coordinating cross-functional deliverables, surfacing dependencies, and resolving blockers within initiative scope
- Contributing to repeatable launch and messaging approaches by documenting learnings and sharing best practices
Requirements:
- Experience contributing to product marketing strategies and bringing products, features, or programs to market, ideally in advertising, marketing technology, platforms, data, or AI
- Experience applying structured problem-solving in product marketing, strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or venture capital
- Familiarity with advertiser goals and the advertising ecosystem (measurement, targeting, relevance, creative, auctions, performance)
- Ability to synthesize customer research and market insights into clear positioning and actionable go-to-market programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Comfort using qualitative and quantitative evidence (customer interviews, surveys, adoption data, experiments) to support decisions
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems and independently manage scoped initiatives
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Partnerships
- High organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-moving environments
- Commitment to continuous learning and improving team approaches to launches and execution
