Gusto is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Leader to join a newly formed Experimentation team focused on bringing new products, offers, and go-to-market motions to market. This is a strategic, high-impact role designed for early-stage, unproven work where you'll shape positioning, test demand, and iterate rapidly before handing off proven concepts to established product marketing pods. You'll architect and execute go-to-market strategy across product areas, partnering closely with Product, Sales, Growth, and Marketing leaders. Your responsibilities include leading customer segmentation, pricing strategy, and GTM motion development; synthesizing market research, customer insights, and usage data to identify opportunities; translating strategy into actionable execution plans; and driving cross-functional alignment across complex initiatives. This role requires someone equally comfortable with strategic planning and hands-on execution. You'll define success metrics, track performance, and lead continuous optimization. You'll also contribute to building new processes and systems that didn't previously exist, acting as strategic connective tissue across teams. Gusto handles payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR for over 500,000 small businesses nationwide. The company operates from Denver, San Francisco, and New York, and is building a workplace that reflects the diverse small business owners it serves. Key qualifications include a track record of shaping GTM strategy in ambiguous, highly ambitious environments (0-to-1 products, new markets, or new motions); ability to move fluidly between strategy and execution; excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; deep experience with customer segmentation, positioning, pricing, and GTM planning; and high AI fluency. Experience in SMB, fintech, HR/benefits/payroll tech, or complex multi-audience businesses is valued. All full-time employees receive competitive base pay, benefits, and equity (RSUs). AI fluency is a fundamental expectation across all Gusto roles.
