Paddle is a Merchant of Record platform that simplifies payment infrastructure for digital product companies, serving over 6,000 software sellers across 245 territories. The company is backed by KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North. This Product Marketing Manager role reports to the VP of Product Marketing and owns the go-to-market strategy and execution for Paddle's Billing product group. You will partner across Product, Growth, Revenue Marketing, Sales, Finance, Solutions, Customer Success, Support, and Brand to translate customer insights into compelling narratives and measurable market impact. The Billing product addresses a critical pain point: as software businesses scale, their monetization infrastructure—pricing models, subscriptions, payments, invoicing, and revenue operations—often becomes fragmented, slowing launches, creating risk, and diverting resources. Your mission is to transform this complex commercial problem into a clear, compelling story for buyers, builders, operators, and growth leaders in software businesses. Key responsibilities include: - Conduct customer and market research through direct conversations, usage signals, competitive analysis, and commercial feedback to build deep insight. - Define positioning, messaging, segmentation, proof points, and the product narrative for the Billing group. - Lead high-impact product launches, commercial initiatives, and change programs from strategy through readiness, channel activation, adoption, and measurement. - Develop focused go-to-market plans across relevant channels with clear audiences, owners, trade-offs, and success metrics. - Partner early with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, and Support to influence priorities, packaging, enablement, and outcomes. - Equip Revenue Marketing, Sales, Solutions, Customer Success, Support, and partners with clear stories, talk tracks, proof points, and practical guidance. - Bring competitive and market insight into product, packaging, pricing, and go-to-market decisions to sharpen differentiation. - Set and track objectives for customer adoption, retention, and commercial impact; make data-driven recommendations to highlight business and customer opportunities. - Leverage AI for research, synthesis, analysis, competitive intelligence, workflow automation, and quality improvement with strong judgment and verification. Success in the first year means the Billing team has a sharper product story, a repeatable launch and commercial-change process, stronger cross-functional enablement, and clear visibility into adoption and business-impact drivers. Product and go-to-market partners trust you to bring clarity, make smart trade-offs, and turn insight into action. Paddle offers a digital-first, remote-friendly culture with stylish hubs available. Benefits include unlimited holidays, 4 months paid family leave regardless of gender, an annual learning fund, and regular training opportunities. Requirements: - Proven track record bringing complex B2B, fintech, payments, billing, infrastructure, or platform products to market. - Experience leading high-impact launches, migrations, packaging changes, or commercial initiatives with measurable results. - Strong capabilities in customer discovery, segmentation, positioning, storytelling, and commercial judgment. - Ability to connect product details to business outcomes such as growth, retention, efficiency, flexibility, and confidence. - Comfort engaging with technical, product, finance, operations, sales, solutions, support, and executive audiences. - Demonstrated range across launches, enablement, adoption, change management, measurement, competitive insight, and customer advocacy. - Examples of using AI, agents, or automation to improve speed, quality, or insight.
