Salary: USD 150,000 - 250,000 / annual

Adapt is building a company agent platform that makes every organization instantly AI-native. The platform serves as a universal AI harness that works across systems, tools, data, and people within a business, enabling teams to ask questions, build automations, analyze data, and act across internal operations in one unified place. The company was founded by repeat founders and operators with strong track records (Jim Benton co-founded ClearSlide and led Apollo.io; Sean Smith founded GlareDB; John Andrew Entwistle co-founded Coder). Adapt has raised $13 million from Headline, Activant, Susa Ventures, and accomplished operators. As the first dedicated product marketer, you will help developers and enterprise buyers understand what Adapt does, why it matters, and how to adopt it. You'll work directly with the CEO, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to translate customer insights into positioning, product launches, and sales enablement materials. Key responsibilities include: - Research customers, developers, and competitors to refine positioning and identify target audiences - Transform product releases into compelling narratives, demos, launch campaigns, and distribution strategies - Support open-source users in evaluating and adopting Adapt, facilitating their transition into paid teams - Develop customer case studies, competitive analysis, and sales collateral - Partner on product packaging and adoption strategy, measuring how messaging and launches impact usage and sales outcomes This is a full-time, in-person role based at Adapt's Presidio office in San Francisco, requiring five days per week on-site. REQUIREMENTS: - Proven experience marketing an open-source product, developer platform, or similarly technical product - Exceptional writing and research skills with the ability to explain complex products clearly and accurately - Hands-on track record of shaping positioning, executing product launches, and driving adoption or commercial outcomes - Technical fluency and comfort collaborating with developers, executive buyers, and a small, fast-moving team
