Embat is a fast-growing European FinTech scale-up (founded 2021, 150+ employees, €30M recent funding) building EmbatOne, a banking infrastructure platform, and TellMe, an AI financial assistant for corporate treasury teams. The company serves mid-market and enterprise clients across Spain, UK, and DACH regions.
You will own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for Embat's Treasury vertical—the core engine where financial visibility translates into strategic decisions. This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the Treasury vertical leader (Theo), with significant autonomy and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute product strategy for the Treasury vertical, translating complex cash flows into clear engineering plans
- Own the evolution of TellMe AI agent and scale modern AI tools for cash forecasting and workflow automation
- Research, design, and deliver advanced capabilities for Cash Flow & Forecasting modules
- Lead greenfield productization of Intercompany, Investment Management, Debt Management (loan schedules, amortization), and Risk/FX modules from scratch
- Work closely with Customer Success to design implementation playbooks, training programs, and activation strategies
- Monitor long-term health and maintenance of modules, supporting Sales and Implementation teams with continuous client feedback
- In first 1-2 quarters: rotate across Treasury modules to build deep technical context, then transition to independent ownership of a dedicated tech stream (Cash, Investment, or Debt Management)
- Drive scale and eliminate bottlenecks as Embat expands its advanced corporate client base
You will navigate a complex functional landscape where automated cash flows coexist with intricate debt schedules, multi-currency FX exposures, and cross-border intercompany dynamics. This role requires deep domain logic expertise, absolute data integrity focus, and the ability to architect AI-native systems that transform manual treasury operations into seamless, automated product modules.
Requirements:
- Mandatory: Treasury domain expertise. Must have functional knowledge of corporate treasury from experience in a corporate treasury team, TMS/banking vendor, or treasury consulting background
- Product instincts and startup mindset: move fast, make structured decisions under ambiguity, experience as Product Owner or functional treasury expert with desire to transition into tech-driven product roles
- AI fluency: eager to push AI-enabled product execution, applying modern LLM and AI workflows to treasury tasks
- Technical fluency: comfortable going deep with developers, can read API docs, design data models, and work with financial data
- Customer obsession: significant time spent with corporate clients mapping processes to build technical specs
- English fluency (C1 minimum) mandatory for international collaboration; Spanish optional
