Wolt (part of DoorDash) is seeking a Product Manager to own the search experience across its delivery platform, which operates in over 500 cities across 30 countries. This role sits within the Core Consumer organisation's Search domain, responsible for the in-app experience that millions of customers interact with when opening DoorDash, Wolt, or Deliveroo.
You will work on a global stack with a roadmap spanning three dimensions: global platform problems applicable worldwide, global capabilities being accelerated into EMEA markets, and EMEA-specific problems worth solving properly. The search domain handles query understanding, autosuggestions, and AI/ML problems across restaurants, grocery, and retail categories in multiple languages.
Key areas of focus include query understanding and autosuggestions, AI/ML-driven improvements in the search domain, and conversational/agentic search that changes how customers reach purchase decisions. You'll need to make search work seamlessly across three brands, multiple languages, and varying query behaviors across different markets.
This is a product leadership role requiring someone who can identify the most important problems for both customers and the business, then build the case for solving them. You'll work deeply with ML engineers and product teams on relevance and ranking challenges without needing to be an ML expert yourself. The role demands strategic thinking—zooming out to envision the domain's state in two years, then zooming back in on next-quarter priorities. You'll need comfort with ambiguity, as the industry and AI landscape shift rapidly.
You'll collaborate across engineering, design, analytics, and local market teams spanning three brands and many markets, balancing global platform thinking with market-specific realities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager in Consumer or on relevance/ranking-driven consumer experiences
- Demonstrated fluency with search measurement and ability to move it
- Strong product judgment backed by data literacy and customer insight
- Ability to work backwards from customer problems while weighing urgent business priorities
- Strategic thinking: capacity to zoom between two-year vision and next-quarter execution
- Comfort with ambiguity and genuine flexibility in a fast-changing industry
- Ability to work deeply with ML and engineering on relevance and ranking (not requiring ML expertise)
- Curiosity about AI's real customer value versus hype
- Skill in building cases and bringing stakeholders along across engineering, design, analytics, and market teams
- Demonstrated ability to work with range: global platform thinking alternating with market-specific focus
