The company operates a global team spanning 24 countries with 25+ languages spoken.
As Product Manager for Payments Infrastructure, you will own the underlying rails, systems, and integrations that move money through Yellow Card's platform. You are responsible for the technical infrastructure that enables customer payment experiences: settlement rails, ledger systems, banking and liquidity partner integrations, and multi-currency processing at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
**Payments Infrastructure Roadmap**: Own the technical roadmap for core payment processing infrastructure including rails, ledger, settlement engine, and currency conversion. Own execution of the virtual accounts strategy. Partner with the Payment Experience PM to translate infrastructure capabilities into customer-facing features. Evaluate and prioritize new banking, liquidity, and stablecoin rail integrations based on cost, speed, and market coverage. Define infrastructure investment priorities.
**Core Payment Systems**: Own the ledger and transaction processing systems that record and reconcile every payment. Own settlement logic across banking partners, liquidity providers, and stablecoin rails (USDC, USDT, PYUSD). Own multi-currency conversion and routing logic. Own virtual IBAN infrastructure and other virtual account capabilities. Partner with engineering on system architecture decisions including consistency, idempotency, failure handling, and reconciliation.
**Partner & Compliance Integration**: Work with Treasury on liquidity requirements and how they shape infrastructure design. Work with Compliance to ensure regulatory and licensing requirements are built into infrastructure by design across every market. Manage the roadmap for onboarding new banking and liquidity partners.
**Reliability, Scalability & Metrics**: Define and track infrastructure health metrics including transaction success rate, settlement time by rail and corridor, system uptime, reconciliation accuracy, error rates, and incident frequency/severity. Partner with engineering on capacity planning and incident response. Continuously identify and prioritize technical debt.
**Internal Education & Enablement**: Document infrastructure capabilities and constraints for other Product, Engineering, and GTM teams. Maintain an internal knowledge base of rail coverage, corridor-specific quirks, and partner integration details. Act as the go-to technical resource for understanding what the payments infrastructure can and cannot do.
**Requirements:**
- 5+ years of Product experience, with at least 3 years working on payments infrastructure, rails, ledgers, or core banking/transaction systems in fintech or crypto
- Strong technical fluency — comfortable in detailed architecture discussions with engineering (APIs, distributed systems, data consistency trade-offs)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product, or a related field
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and across different time zones
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure
- Experience with stablecoin or crypto settlement rails is a plus
- Experience with banking partner integrations, correspondent banking, or cross-border payment rails is a plus
