SpotOn is a restaurant technology platform offering award-winning point-of-sale systems and AI-powered profit tools for independent restaurants. As Product Manager for Payments, you will own the end-to-end payments strategy and execution across SpotOn's hospitality ecosystem, spanning card-present and card-not-present acceptance, transaction processing, routing, settlement, and merchant funding. Your primary responsibilities include defining the payments product roadmap for diverse hospitality use cases (table service, counter service, bars, quick-service, multi-location groups), translating complex payment flows into intuitive merchant experiences, and monitoring key performance metrics including authorization rates, chargebacks, declines, disputes, latency, and reconciliation accuracy. You will partner with risk, compliance, and security teams to ensure adherence to network rules and PCI DSS standards, and work with GTM to position payment capabilities that differentiate SpotOn. You will also collaborate with money movement and remittance teams to ensure accurate, timely merchant settlement with transparent fee and chargeback handling. This includes feeding payment product decisions (routing, interchange optimization, surcharging) back into funding workflows to keep merchant payouts predictable and explainable. As the primary product point of contact for payments across SpotOn, you will act as a cross-functional leader, aligning stakeholders around a clear vision and roadmap. You will facilitate decision-making balancing technical constraints, regulatory considerations, and merchant needs, communicate trade-offs and progress to executives, and mentor adjacent product teams on payment best practices and platform standards. Required qualifications include 5+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on payments, fintech, or financial services. You need deep understanding of card-present and card-not-present payments (authorization, capture, clearing, settlement, tokenization, risk, chargebacks), working familiarity with merchant processing economics (interchange, scheme fees), and experience with payment processors, acquirers, gateways, or card networks. Strong analytical skills, proven success shipping complex technical products, and excellent communication abilities are essential.
