Buena acquires property management companies and builds software to improve their daily operations. As a Product Manager, you will work directly with users to understand their workflows, identify common pain points across multiple property management firms, and translate those insights into clear product priorities and concrete improvements. You will work closely with Engineering and Design to shape product direction and ensure ideas become functional products. Your responsibilities include: - Understanding users and workflows: Observe work in property management companies to identify problems not captured through support tickets or online feedback. - Identifying shared needs: Compare processes across different management firms to find improvements with the highest impact. - Shaping the roadmap: Connect individual projects to a clear product direction, justify priorities, and communicate them to the team. - Developing solutions: Research alternatives, develop proposals, and think through user workflows together with Engineering and Design. - Understanding system relationships: Comprehend how properties, units, owners, documents, and other data connect—and the consequences of changes. - Guiding from idea to adoption: Provide appropriate detail levels for projects, clarify open questions during development, and verify after release whether improvements are adopted. - Applying AI practically: Use tools to examine product behavior, test ideas, build prototypes, and support testing. The role is based in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg with an emphasis on in-person collaboration and short communication paths. REQUIREMENTS: - Experience with software for real workflows (e.g., ERP, Supply Chain, HR, CRM, or other complex business processes). You must understand that software must accommodate existing workflows and constraints. - Strong discovery skills: Ask precise questions, go beyond initial requests, and identify the actual problem to solve. - Good product judgment: Transform unclear situations into clear direction, sensible priorities, and understandable user workflows. - Understanding of interconnected systems: Comprehend relationships between data and the impact of changes. - Practical technical and AI competence: Ability to investigate a system with tools and build a prototype. Delivering production-ready code independently is not required. - Ownership and teamwork: Bring clear proposals, accept questioning, and develop better solutions with others. - Pragmatic working style: Comfortable with uncertainty, able to dive into details, and capable of driving progress in a small team. - Curiosity and ability to learn property management domain. No prior expertise required. Early-stage startup experience is a plus but not required; open to diverse backgrounds.
