The platform correlates frontend issues with backend telemetry—traces, logs, infrastructure metrics, database queries—alongside synthetic tests and business data in a unified view for rapid troubleshooting.
In this role, you will own the strategy and execution for RUM's onboarding and expansion, ensuring consistent user experience throughout the product. You'll build intelligence based on availability and performance data, work directly with enterprise customers to understand and meet their needs, and participate in shaping the vision and evolution of the RUM offering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify customer needs and business opportunities through quantitative data analysis and qualitative customer interviews
- Translate needs into business cases, feature specifications, product requirements, and roadmaps
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, and product teams
- Partner with marketing, customer success, and technical writing to deliver intuitive, well-documented features
- Communicate feature releases internally and externally to drive go-to-market success and product discovery
- Own and measure outcomes in partnership with sales, technical solutions, and marketing teams
Datadog operates as a hybrid workplace, valuing office culture for collaboration and creativity while supporting work-life harmony.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in enterprise software serving technical audiences
- Prior engineering background OR deep understanding and knowledge of frontend technologies and troubleshooting workflows (crash analysis, performance optimization, network latency diagnosis, etc.)
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional teams
- Customer-focused mindset with high quality standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present and defend ideas to technical stakeholders and executives
- Datadog values diverse backgrounds and encourages applications from those passionate about technology even if not all qualifications are met on day one
