Kraken, one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms trusted by over 10 million users, is seeking a Product Manager II to own the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for fraud prevention and detection systems. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, legal, compliance, and risk—requiring strong cross-functional coordination to build secure, compliant fraud systems that protect users while enabling Kraken to operate across jurisdictions.
You will lead end-to-end delivery of fraud features from discovery through launch, including a major initiative to revamp case management for fraud and account takeover (ATO) detection. Key responsibilities include collaborating with Engineering teams to define technical specifications, APIs, and workflows; partnering with Legal, Fraud Strategy, and Operations to ensure compliance across jurisdictions; and integrating with external fraud vendors to define scope and technical requirements.
The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of product management experience, ideally in fraud, crypto, trading platforms, or financial infrastructure. You should have a strong understanding of fraud processes and infrastructure, experience with institutional trading products or financial market infrastructure, and the ability to translate complex technical systems into clear product requirements. Experience managing API-based integrations with third-party providers is essential, as is strong organizational and stakeholder management.
Nice-to-have skills include familiarity with ATO or identity management, case management automation leveraging AI, and experience with legal, compliance, or traditional finance regulations. You'll prioritize initiatives that improve monitoring coverage, attribution accuracy, alerting quality, and operational efficiency—all while minimizing friction for legitimate client activity.
