dcbel is a residential clean energy company designing and selling integrated hardware and software products that enable homeowners to own their energy supply through solar, EV charging, stationary batteries, and grid services. The Home Energy Station (Ara) is their flagship product, combining solar generation, EV charging, V2H/V2G capabilities, and energy optimization.
This Product Manager role owns the experience and behavior of the home energy system across mobile and on-device interfaces. You will bring structure and clarity to a complex, multi-surface product ecosystem where system behavior, user expectations, and technical constraints intersect. Your core responsibility is defining what gets built, how it is structured, and how different system components work together coherently.
Key responsibilities include: owning release scope through prioritized, real-world scenarios; shaping product direction via build-learn cycles and AI-assisted prototyping; ensuring clear, consistent system behavior across mobile and on-device touchpoints; defining product requirements and constraints; aligning Design, Engineering, and Readiness teams on expected behavior; identifying gaps and inconsistencies early through build-to-validate approaches; and driving prioritization and trade-offs aligned with product goals.
You will work collaboratively with Design and Engineering using iterative learning and prototyping rather than static specifications. The role requires translating complex inputs into structured, actionable product decisions and turning end-user applications into clear scenarios and requirements.
Required: 7+ years in product management or product ownership; strong experience with mobile and complex, high-usage products; strong fundamentals in prioritization, trade-offs, requirements, and release scope ownership; experience working across multiple touchpoints including device interfaces.
Accelerators: scenario-based thinking and system modeling; experience with hardware-software systems; exposure to connected devices, IoT, or energy systems; multi-surface and system-driven product definition.
