Kin Insurance is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the migration of the company's quoting experience from legacy systems to a unified multi-product platform. This is an individual contributor role focused on platform modernization and product expansion across insurance, auto, flood, property tax appeals, and home financing. You will own the roadmap for migrating Kin's quoting foundation and multi-channel customization capabilities. Key responsibilities include partnering with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to move quoting from prototype through production; orchestrating dependencies and timelines across multiple teams while surfacing risks early; driving incremental improvements to reduce time-to-quote and friction-to-bind for both agents and customers; leading experimentation in customized and cross-channel quoting experiences; writing precise specifications for engineering; and building AI-native workflows for the quoting experience. Success in the first 6–12 months means successfully transitioning product lines to the new platform with legacy system retirement, shipping high-impact changes that measurably improve lead-to-bind conversion, driving efficiency and automation across channels, and enabling Kin to scale the quoting experience across new states and lines of business. Kin is a remote-first, profitable InsurTech company founded in 2016, serving customers in 14 states with recognition including Forbes' Fintech 50 (2023–2026), Built In Chicago's Best Places to Work (2021–2026), and Forbes' America's Best Startup Employers (2026). The company emphasizes ownership, lean operations, data-driven decision-making, and AI-forward working. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of product management experience with direct ownership of a funnel, platform, API, or internal tooling product - Experience with platform modernization or re-platforming at scale, including sequencing migrations without disrupting dependent teams - Comfort operating in ambiguity across multiple teams and stakeholder groups - Technical fluency to contribute to architecture and data model conversations and understand how platform decisions affect reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance - Experience building quoting, checkout, or sales workflows spanning agent-assisted and self-serve channels with third-party platform integration - Hands-on SQL and BI skills (e.g., Databricks, Looker) to size problems and scope improvements - AI-forward working approach, using AI tools to raise throughput and prototype ideas quickly - Clear, concise communication with both technical and business audiences BONUS: - A/B testing or experimentation framework experience - Coding experience - Familiarity with HubSpot, Segment, FullStory, Regal, or similar tools - InsurTech or FinTech background
