Aspire is a Series C fintech company building the financial operating system for global founders and high-growth companies. The platform integrates banking, software, and automation to enable businesses to manage finances across borders efficiently. The Spend team owns all software at Aspire that simplifies finance management for CFOs and their teams, including expense management (claims), card transaction management, and accounts payable (bills and procurement). The team is lean—2 PMs and 6 engineers—working closely with Design, Sales, Commercial, and Operations.
As Senior Product Manager for Expense Management, you will own end-to-end product development for Aspire's expense products. This is a full-stack role requiring strong product judgment, hands-on design skills, and deep customer empathy. Key responsibilities include:
• Own complete product development lifecycle: discovery, design, build, launch, and implementation
• Design hands-on, moving features from problem framing through high-fidelity flows using Aspire's design system
• Manage the expense roadmap and feature backlog, prioritizing by customer impact and business goals
• Define and monitor quality metrics (adoption, usage, reliability) and act on insights
• Partner with Engineering on technical trade-offs and with Sales/Commercial on positioning and selling
• Conduct regular customer conversations with finance leaders and end users; translate insights into product decisions
In your first 6 months, you will deliver the full launch of expense policies, onboard new clients, increase product visibility, improve adoption metrics, and propose the 2027 roadmap.
Expense management is core to Aspire's offering, with high usage after core transaction products. This role offers the opportunity to solve real business problems and see your features used immediately.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years of product management experience as a full-stack PM, ideally building consumer-facing products
• Background in fintech, design-led, or e-commerce companies
• Hands-on design expertise, including comfort with design systems and producing flows independently
• Strong project management skills with a track record of shipping on time across Engineering, Design, and go-to-market teams
• Working understanding of finance management concepts (expenses, approvals, reimbursements)
• Advanced AI skills: use AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, n8n) to build and ship internal products, not just for documentation
• Genuine customer curiosity and ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear product decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5–6 years of product management experience
• Experience building fintech products, especially spend management, expense, or payments
• Exposure to crypto or digital assets
• Experience in a high-growth startup environment
