Ambience Healthcare is an AI-powered clinical documentation platform that helps healthcare providers focus on patient care by automating administrative workflows. The company has raised funding from top-tier VCs including Andreessen Horowitz, OpenAI Startup Fund, and Kleiner Perkins, and has been recognized as a top AI healthcare company. As Product Manager for the Emergency Department Platform, you will own Ambience's ED product and the clinician experience from initial patient assessment through disposition and handoff. Your mission is to make ED documentation accurate, efficient, and reliable as patient conditions and care plans evolve. Key responsibilities include: **Product Strategy & Workflow:** Set ED priorities balancing clinician needs, product quality, and commercial value. Shadow ED clinicians to understand triage, parallel patient management, reassessments, changing diagnoses, and disposition workflows. Own the end-to-end documentation workflow across Ambience, Epic Haiku, and the native app—including starting, updating, reviewing, editing, and filing notes during shifts. Partner with shared Scribe, Chart Prep, CDI, and EHR integration teams while owning the ED-specific experience. **Product Quality & Adoption:** Improve HPI, physical exam, MDM, and ED course quality by reducing fabricated content, attribution errors, and misplaced sections. Enable clinicians to update assessments as new information arrives without overwriting edits or creating additional Epic work. Measure note accuracy, completeness, latency, workflow completion, and writeback reliability across customers. Establish encounter-level ED utilization metrics and use clinician feedback to understand and improve adoption. **Customer Value & GTM:** Measure documentation time, after-shift charting, and clinician efficiency in partnership with Data and Care Transformation teams. Work with coding and revenue-cycle teams on ED documentation, CDI, E/M coding, critical care, and procedure capture. Develop value stories for clinicians, physician groups, and health systems to support adoption, retention, and expansion. Validate opportunities to expand to new ED personas based on customer need and demonstrated value. This is a senior PM role requiring close collaboration with Engineering, Design, Clinical AI/ML, and GTM teams. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the San Francisco office, plus willingness to visit customers and shadow clinicians in the ED. **Requirements:** - 5+ years of PM experience (or equivalent product-building experience) with end-to-end ownership of a product area - Proven ability to learn complex domains through firsthand user research - Strong technical fluency with AI/ML products, data, APIs, and complex integrations - Experience shipping user-facing products with complex workflows and reliability requirements - Strong product judgment, clear writing, and comfort making decisions with incomplete information - Based in SF, available to be in office 3x/week, with willingness to visit customers and shadow clinicians **Nice-to-Haves:** - Experience with emergency medicine, clinical workflows, or healthcare IT (especially Epic and Haiku) - Experience building ambient AI, clinical documentation, LLM, or human-in-the-loop products - Familiarity with coding/CDI or revenue-cycle workflows, especially ED E/M and critical care - Prior 0-to-1 product work or experience improving adoption and quality in live enterprise products
